PURPOSE: The purposes of processing are: The registration and management of the security of the event. Sending information by email about similar events. Inclusion of the WLF database for the purpose of keeping the interested party informed about other similar events and collaborations, and/or news from the WLF. Your Congress registration data will be retained for the duration of events related to the World Law Congress 2025. Once this series of events is over, your data will be kept blocked for a maximum of 5 years for possible compliance with legal obligations. At the end of this period, the data will be deleted. On the other hand, in the event that you give your consent to be added to the WLF database, your data will remain in the WLF database as long as you do not withdraw your consent. Once you have withdrawn your consent, your data will be stored blocked for a maximum of 5 years for possible compliance with legal obligations. At the end of this period, the data will be deleted. No profiling is done; No automated decisions are made.

LEGITIMATION: The legal basis of the processing is: The execution of a contract between the data subject and the data controller, or for the execution of pre-contractual measures adopted at the request of the data subject to register and attend the World Law Congress event. RECIPIENTS: International Transfers: Manager of the physical venue with the sole purpose of managing access control to the event. Ministry of Defense of the Dominican Republic and Ministry of the Interior and Police of the Dominican Republic, with the sole purpose of managing the security of the event. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, with the sole purpose of managing the security of the event. Assignments: Spanish Royal House and Spanish Civil Guard, with the sole purpose of managing the security of the event.

RIGHTS: Any person has the right to obtain information about whether or not the World Law Foundation is processing personal data concerning them.

ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, DELETION: Interested parties have the right to access their personal data, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate data or, where appropriate, request their deletion when, among other reasons, the data is already necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

LIMITATION: In certain circumstances, data subjects may request the limitation of the processing of their data, in which case we will only keep them for the exercise or defence of claims.

OPPOSITION: In certain circumstances and for reasons related to their particular situation, data subjects may object to the processing of their data. The World Law Foundation will cease to process the data, except for compelling legitimate reasons, or the exercise or defence of possible claims. In the event that your personal data are to be used for promotional purposes other than those already exposed, you will be informed and your consent will be requested, which you can withdraw when you deem it appropriate. PORTABILITY: If applicable, you may request the portability of your data. The written communication must be duly signed, accompanied by a photocopy of the ID card. The reference should read “Personal Data Protection”. In any case, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, especially when you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights.
